3PHASE Lingua Group teaches footballers and top athletes all over Europe. This time, another exceptional player is lining up at one of the biggest clubs in Europe: DAVID ALABA.
After 13 years with FC Bayern Munich, the Austrian will move to REAL MADRID in July 2021.
Alaba played for his hometown club SV Aspern until the age of ten, and then moved to the 10th district of Vienna-Favoriten to attend FK Austria Wien's cooperation school and join their youth section.
As a 15-year-old he made his first appearance in the professional team of Wiener Austria in a preparation match against the FAC team for Vienna. In the following training camp of the professional team in Spain, three more appearances in preparation matches followed. He then played his first game for the second team in the First League, the second highest division in Austria.
FC Bayern Munich (2008-2010)
In the summer of 2008, he moved to the youth department of FC Bayern Munich.
In October 2008, Alaba was integrated into the second team under Mehmet Scholl for the 2009/10 season. From August 2009, he then played regularly as a regular for the Bayern amateurs in the 3rd division. At the age of 17 years and 232 days, he was the youngest player ever to make his first appearance in a competitive match for the professional team of FC Bayern München.
Two more debuts followed shortly afterwards: first his first first league match on 6 March 2010 in FC Bayern's Bundesliga match against 1. FC Köln, when he replaced the injured Diego Contento from the 73rd minute. Three days later, he was in the starting eleven in the Champions League round of 16 against AC Florence. This also makes him the youngest Bayern player to appear in the Champions League. Bayern's CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge praised Alaba, who had the most ball contacts: "He played very well. You didn't see at all that it was his first game for Bayern Munich from the start."
Shortly after his 18th birthday, Alaba signed a three-year professional contract with Bayern on 30 June 2010.
FC Bayern Munich (2011-2021)
During training at the FC Bayern Munich ground (2017).
During the 2011 summer break, Alaba extended his contract at FC Bayern until 2015. He returned to Bayern for the 2011/12 season and played, often as a substitute, in the first half of the season in all competitions. At the end of 2011, he was voted Player of the Year by the coaches of the Austrian Bundesliga. He was the youngest player and only the third playing abroad to win this election.
At the end of April 2012, Alaba reached the final of the Champions League with Bayern Munich.
On 7 May 2016, he became German champion with the Munich team for the fourth time in a row. He also won the double for the fourth time by winning the cup on 21 May 2016 in the final against Borussia Dortmund (4:3 in a penalty shootout) and in 2017 he won the fifth German championship in a row with FC Bayern, which was followed by two more in the following two years.
Due to the absences of central defenders Niklas Süle, Lucas Hernández and Benjamin Pavard due to injury, Alaba played in central defence from matchday 10 of the 2019/20 season, the last game of head coach Niko Kovač's tenure. In his place, Alphonso Davies took over the left-back position. This constellation also remained under Kovač's successor Hansi Flick. Both Alaba and Davies were ranked as one of the best players in their positions in the German football rankings by Kicker during the winter break. In 2020, he won his ninth Bundesliga title overall, equalling Franck Ribéry's record. After winning the DFB Cup and the UEFA Champions League in 2019/20, he once again achieved the treble with FC Bayern after 2013. On 1 December 2020, Alaba played his 400th competitive match for Bayern Munich in the 1-1 draw against Atlético Madrid and captained the team for the first time.
Alaba's contract at FC Bayern München was extended until 30 June 2021.
On 16 February 2021, Alaba announced that he did not wish to extend the contract thereafter.
In 2021, he won his tenth German championship in his last season, making him joint record holder with Thomas Müller.
Real Madrid (since 2021)
After his contract ends in Munich, Alaba will move to Real Madrid in the Spanish Primera División for the 2021/22 season, where he will receive a contract that runs until June 2026.
3PHASE Lingua Group is very pleased to be able to look after a new world-class player and will make DAVID ALABA's integration in his new country and club as easy as possible in terms of language in the coming months.
¡Hala Madrid!
